Skip paying for GirlfriendGPT. The reasons are no refund once you pay, long data retention after you close the account, and an age check that rests on a declaration. This review reads the vendors' own current pages, and the products were not tested.
The GirlfriendGPT documents settle the purchase question before any payment, and what they say points to skipping a paid plan. Each reason sits on a vendor page you can open and check before you enter a card.
Skip paying: the terms refuse refunds on paid plans
On gptgirlfriend.online, the terms say the service does not offer refunds for subscriptions that have been paid for. Section 15, titled Refund Policy, holds the clause. The service may offer a refund after its own mistake or a technical issue, and requests get reviewed and refunded within 14 days, according to the first line of that section.
Read together, those lines give a narrow exception and a processing time, while the default answer stays no. Anyone who pays should plan on the money being spent.
Where a request goes depends on how the plan was paid, and the table sorts the routes.
Where a refund request goes, by how the subscription was paid
| How the subscription was paid | Who handles the refund request |
|---|---|
| Through the payment provider CCBill | The reader contacts the payment provider directly, and the provider's policies govern the refund process. |
| Through any other method | The reader contacts GirlfriendGPT support, which reviews the request case by case. |
| In a country with a stricter refund rule | The user is entitled to the benefits of the stricter policy. |
Two more refund lines sit in the app terms:
- Apple: if the service fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app.
- Google Play: GirlfriendGPT or Google may restrict, interrupt or prevent use of the app, or delete it from your device, at any time and without notice, with no refund, credit or other compensation owed.
Cancelling is a separate matter. Subscribers have the right to cancel from rebilling at any time, and the terms promise to process a request promptly through the manage subscription page. The Cancellation Policy also covers the payment providers TrustPay and CCBill.
Timing decides the last charge:
- A request made before the next billing cycle ceases future charges.
- A request received after the new billing period has begun may still be charged for that cycle, and the cancellation takes effect in the cycle after it.
Cancelling alone does not entitle a subscriber to a refund of charges already incurred. Subscriptions bought through CCBill follow their own path: visit the CCBill website, sign in, open the Billing tab, find the GirlfriendGPT subscription and click Cancel Subscription. That subscription ends at the close of the current billing cycle.
Wording can move under you. The terms keep the right to revise themselves at any time, and continued use signals consent to the latest version. The terms page shows a last-modified date of June 18, 2026.
Beside the terms, privacy policy and community guidelines, the terms list separate policies on blocked content, DMCA, complaints, refunds, cancellation and underage use. Each of those documents sits on its own page.
Your data stays on file long after you close the account
Six years is how long the privacy policy on gptgirlfriend.online says personal information is usually stored after an account closes. For registration, the policy says it may collect a name, a date of birth, usage details and browser details.
Leaving works through withdrawing consent, which ends the service. The policy then promises reasonable steps to delete the user account, doing so in a timely manner, and it adds that the operator is not responsible for content still hosted on third-party websites.
Beyond the sign-up form, the policy describes data collected automatically, including information on its server logs:
- Location, IP address, cookie information and the page requested are recorded automatically from the browser or mobile in server logs, and the policy treats them as non-personal data.
- Technical data about equipment, browsing actions and patterns is gathered as users interact with the AI Companions.
- The website can be visited anonymously, and the policy says the metadata it processes through cookies cannot be used to obtain personally identifiable information.
That metadata is used for technical improvements, statistical analysis and marketing analysis.
Withdrawing consent also leads the company to delete the personal data it collected on you for internal use. Requests to exercise your rights get a reply within one month, the policy says, though a complex request or several requests may take longer.
Readers keep some control, and the policy names three levers:
- You can access your personal data and receive a copy of what the company holds.
- A browser can be set to refuse cookies, though some parts of the website may then stop working properly.
- Marketing messages can be stopped at any time through your preferences or the opt-out link on a message.
Data can also change hands. If the operator merges with another company, is acquired, or sells assets, personal information may be disclosed to advisers and a prospective purchaser and may be among the assets transferred, while remaining subject to the policy. Links on the website may let third parties collect or share data about you, the policy adds.
The policy says the company will not ask for data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health or similar sensitive categories, and anyone who offers such data willingly discloses it. A controller on the team oversees questions about the policy.
Revisions come with a condition. The company may revise the policy from time to time, and continuing to use the services after a change takes effect means agreeing to the revised policy.
Residents of the European Union are entitled to enhanced rights under the GDPR, which the policy lists as including transparency about how their data is processed. The policy carries a last-modified date of April 13, 2026.
The age check takes your word for it
Before gaining access to the main content, users must confirm their age, gptgirlfriend.online's underage policy says. The same page states that users are prompted to affirm that they are above 18.
An initial landing page, called an age gate, is what appears at registration, according to the policy. Users are also told that giving inaccurate age information violates the terms. Nothing on the page describes a document check.
Several layers sit around the declaration:
- A proprietary content moderation filter checks content against the terms, built on LLM technology, and flagged content may be reviewed manually.
- The community guidelines say the company may take measures that include restricting or discontinuing a user's entry to the community or app.
- The guidelines say a blend of human reviewers and automated tools supervises accounts, characters and interactions.
- Members who meet situations that unsettle or endanger them are encouraged to discontinue interactions with the character.
Responsibility lands on the person using the service. That page says you bear sole responsibility for the content generated by the AI Companions, including text messages, voice messages, images and videos, and that content the company believes violates the provisions will be promptly removed.
Image generation carries its own caveat. The terms say the company strives to ensure that generated images are safe and appropriate, but it cannot guarantee that they will be.
The app listing uses a different measure. The Google Play URL previously cited for a Mature 17+ rating returned 404 on 30 Oct 2026, so that rating is not used here.
The GirlfriendGPT name sits on more than one product
The gptgirlfriend.online terms cover the website and the GirlfriendGPT mobile application available through Apple's App Store or the Google Play Marketplace. They name NextDay AI Incorporated as the owner of the website, with a Delaware subsidiary and a Cyprus subsidiary acting as its agents, and they are governed by Quebec, Canada.
Pleasur.AI, the company that publishes this guide, offers AI companion chat, character creation and image generation, and as the publisher's own product it appears once in the last row as an unranked reference.
The publisher each page names for each product that carries the name
| Product | Publisher the page names | Where the page says so |
|---|---|---|
| GirlfriendGPT | NextDay AI Incorporated | The website terms of use |
| Girlfriend GPT app | Not stated by a source we can cite | The Google Play URL returned 404 on 30 Oct 2026, so the listing is not cited. |
| GirlfriendGPT open-source project | EniasCailliau | The GitHub repository |
| SeaArt Girlfriend GPT | SeaArt AI | The SeaArt feature page |
| Pleasur.AI | Pleasur.AI | The Pleasur.AI terms of service |
Three more pages carry the name: a Google Play app listing, a GitHub repository and a SeaArt feature page, each naming its own publisher. On SeaArt's page, free use is metered by a daily stamina allowance for chats with AI girlfriends.
For the mobile app, the terms make GirlfriendGPT solely responsible for maintenance and support, and they say Google holds no obligation to provide either.
Each page describes its own product:
- Website homepage: an NSFW AI chat platform for chatting with AI girlfriends and AI boyfriends.
- GitHub repository: a fork of a Steamship starter.
- SeaArt page: voice playback and a wide range of character styles.
Treat the free tier as a trial and know the price gap before you pay
Core Services come at no charge on gptgirlfriend.online, and its terms say additional credits are available for purchase. The terms page does not show a dollar price for a plan.
Free and paid limits as the terms word them
| Tier | Characters | Messages or credits |
|---|---|---|
| Core Services at no charge | Up to 2 or 3 characters | A limited message count, such as 10 to 20 messages in total |
| Paid subscription | More characters than the free tier | Credits of 5000 up to 20000 per month, depending on the tier, that reset monthly and cannot be carried over |
The pages name credit tiers and in-app purchases.
The terms describe what credits buy in general words. Additional credits enable access to the full spectrum of features outlined on the website and apps, and in-app purchases are designed to enhance and enrich the user experience.
Trying it free does not avoid the data trade, because registration and the retention period set out above still apply.
The open-source project is a way out only for people who run code
The EniasCailliau GirlfriendGPT README on GitHub says the repository is no longer actively maintained. A deprecation warning sits at the top of the page.
The README describes a starter project to help you build your personalized AI companion with a unique personality, voice and selfies. Its feature list names three things:
- A custom voice built on ElevenLabs.
- A Telegram connection for sending and receiving messages.
- Personality settings you can change.
Running it means deploying the code yourself. The README gives two commands to run a companion locally, then says you will need to fetch a Telegram key to connect it to Telegram. The page marks the repository as a fork of the Steamship langchain-production-starter.
Contributions follow a set route: define a personality in a new Python file in the src/personalities directory, test it, and submit a pull request. The roadmap lists memories and photorealistic selfies, and with the repository marked as no longer maintained, those entries read as plans the page does not promise.
The project is licensed under the MIT License.
Decision: skip paying, try the free tier with care or look elsewhere
Skip the paid plan, take the free route with its trade-offs accepted, or compare an alternative against the same questions. Pleasur.AI, the publisher's own product, is the unranked alternative for a reader who wants to read a blocked content policy that lists real person deepfakes.
The vendor's own pages decide this one, so read them before you pay anyone. Open the refund clause before you enter a card anywhere.
Pay the vendor whose terms you have read, not the name you searched for.
Frequently asked questions
Users cannot continue chatting, but they can earn additional credits by completing specified tasks.
The privacy policy says it will not disclose, sell, trade or transfer personal information to third parties without consent unless the policy says otherwise.
The terms say GirlfriendGPT does not assert proprietorship of user submissions, and users grant it a perpetual, irrevocable license to use them.
The terms commit to working to resolve a complaint within 5 business days.
